The Gloucestershire Society's Events

The primary event The Gloucestershire Society holds each year is the annual Church service and Feast. Since the very first days of The Gloucestershire Society, back in the 1650s, it was tradition to hold a church service, which was followed by a banquet - or Feast. It was at the Feast that the annual donations were given to The Society.

Since then, the principles have remained the same, though the methods for raising donations have changed. Each year, the reigning President of the Gloucestershire Society is responsible for arranging the church service and feast, which is usually held in their own parish church and home. The event is a way for the Trustees and volunteers to meet many of our donors and to celebrate the work of The Gloucestershire Society.
